Jess was an incredibly special bride to us, as Jess was the first ever bride to find her dream dress at House of Snow.
On our opening weekend, Jess was the first ever bride to try on dresses in the boutique and the first bride to ever buy a dress at House of Snow, so we will always remember Jess for this reason. We have missed her visits to the boutique, for every fitting.
Jess and her husband Kristopher tied the knot last summer, on 29th July 2017 at Ravenwood Hall in Bury St Edmunds. We asked our beautiful bride Jess to tell us all about her special day, so we could share it all with you.
“We chose Ravenwood Hall as the venue as we didn’t get any feeling like we did in other venues we looked at. The team were super helpful, polite, accommodating and not only did they allow getting married at the venue as well as having the reception there, they allowed couples to get married outdoors! Which was a HUGE tick in our book. They were so attentive and kept us up to date with everything and answered any of our questions as quickly as possible! This made our day stress free and as relaxing as possible.”
Jess wore ‘Cynthia’ By Watters teamed with a bespoke lace top. “Well finding the dress…. I had tried a few shops in Burt St Edmunds and one in Ipswich and none of the dresses gave me that ‘WOW’ feeling. Then I happened to walk past House of Snow Bridal Boutique on their opening weekend and spotted a dress I knew I HAD to try on! Harriet was extremely accommodating and opened the shop an hour early for me on the Sunday to try the dress on.
Funnily enough that dress wasn’t the one, however the next dress was ‘MY DREAM DRESS’ I had picked a few to try on but I kept going back into it as I felt like the princess I wanted to be for my big day. It was utterly different to anything I could have imagined and what I thought I wanted. There was only one thing I wanted to change about the dress and that was having straps put on, Harriet could sense that I was not fully comfortable and came up with some amazing solutions that made the dress truly mine and then well…. The tears just fell from me (from everyone). I had found my DRESS! Then to make an even more perfect moment perfect did we find out through chatting that when my mum was getting married she had brought her veil from the same building. IT WAS MEANT
“This is difficult. I enjoyed it all so much and want to go back to that day all the time as it does go so fast. I feel like my favourite moments was having my dad and Kris see me for the first time in my dress was a picture and an image I will carry with me always. Then I must admit saying my vowels to the man I am going to spend the rest of my life with was amazing, such a surreal moment”
